UW Volunteer Activities Committee Announces Volunteer of the Year Winners

Kokomo, IN, April 15, 2016/Press Release/ -- The UW Volunteer Activities Committee announced the winners of the 2016 Volunteer of the Year awards. The winners were nominated by community members, nonprofits, schools and businesses and honors individuals that have made a major impact in their community. Winners are:
Volunteer of the Year
Stacy Sullivan, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, UAW 685, KTP
“Stacy Sullivan is a member of the People Development team at Kokomo Transmission Plant and leads numerous community projects both inside and outside the plant. She has recently become a board member on the CASA program to enlighten her involvement on projects. The past three years she is the lead for the KTP kids Christmas program to make sure kids receive wish list items for Christmas. She was also instrumental in leading the KRM-Open Arms mentoring program done by the FCA women's forum,” said Debbie Landrum of FCA-UAW Local 685.

Group Volunteer of the Year
St. Vincent Kokomo Over 2,000 Group
“Each of the volunteers in the St. Vincent Kokomo Over 2000 Group has over 2,000 lifetime volunteer hours at our organization. Together they have 26,000 volunteer hours. They have blessed countless visitors, patients and associates for over 122 combined years. They greet and make you feel welcome. They offer you a wheelchair and take you to your destination. They bring flowers and cards to the sick. They take lab work and equipment where needed. They do everything possible in your time of need to make your visit pleasant,” said Harry Kenworthy, Volunteer Coordinator at St. Vincent Kokomo.
