United Way Reinstates Abbie Smith, President and CEO

KOKOMO, IN / PRESS RELEASE – On behalf of the Board of Directors of United Way serving Howard and Tipton Counties, the Executive Committee reinstates Abbie Smith as President and CEO after Mayoral race comes to an end.

Effective November 6, 2019, Abbie Smith is reinstated as United Way serving Howard and Tipton Counties President and CEO; Libby O’Brien, former Interim Executive Director will resume the position of Community Development Director; Jeff Young, former Interim President and CEO will resume as Board Chairman.

“United Way welcomes Abbie back as President and CEO,” said Jeff Young, United Way serving Howard and Tipton Counties Board Chairman. “We look forward to her continued leadership and focus on addressing the community’s needs. I am excited to see United Way carry on the work of fighting for the health, education and financial stability of every person in our community.”
